For thousands of years, our ancestors in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand lit sacred fires using wild medicinal Himalayan herbs, desi cow ghee, guggul, and holy Gomaye (indigenous cow dung). The vapors purified the air, elevated meditation, and bestowed peace upon the household.
Over recent decades, commercial incense became overrun by cheap, toxic black charcoal powder, synthetic petrochemical binders, and artificial fragrances. Millions of devotees were unknowingly breathing choking black soot in their mandirs during daily Aarti.
